DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (3/10)  level and moderately easy to sew.
Takes 3-4 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

FABRIC

Medium weight stretch woven fabrics with at least 3-5% Spandex/Elastane like Cotton Sateen, stretch denim, stretch bengaline etc, medium weight stable low stretch knits like Ponte, knit Jacquard, Double knits. Your fabric should have at least 15-20% amount of stretch.

50/60" / 140-160 cm

US0-US6 1.6-1.7- 1 3/4 yards
US8-US10 1.8 m - 2 yards
US12-US30 2.6-2.8 m - 2 3/4-3 yards

NOTIONS

  1. 40-45 cm / 0.5 yard of stretch fusible interfacing (it should have the same amount of stretch as your main fabric). If you cannot source appropriate fusible interfacing I would recommend to skip it altogether, than to use something that may not work properly.

  3. (optional) Topstitching / Denim threads

  4. (optional) Polyester / Cotton threads

My new favourite pants pattern!

I love love love love this pattern. I’ve tried numerous pants patterns and not got anywhere near a proper fit. It doesn’t help that I’m plus size and only 5 feet tall. On the Sinclair pants it made it so easy to make adjustments to fit properly. Are used Ponte, which is so easy to work with, and made it with the regular waist band. Considering the difference between my hips and waist I probably should have used the button up waistband because I found it pretty tight going over my hips. I think the alternative would’ve been to have left the interfacing off so that the waistband had more stretch. But all in all, I will definitely make this pattern again.

Loving my Metro pants

I was a little daunted about making up this pattern but after watching Lifting Pins and Needles YouTube review I felt confident to give this pattern a go. I am so glad I did these came together easily, the petite version fit me (5ft 2) well and look just like jeans but are so much more comfortable. I will definitely be more.

Perfect pants (again!)

I mesured well and choosed a woven with nice stretch (bengaline). The fit was perfect on the first try. Very clear instructions and lots of assembly tips makes it a good intermediate sewer pattern :)

Wonderful Pant Pattern

This is the second Sinclair pant pattern I have made and it is wonderful. Made the bootcut version in size 10 tall out of bengaline fabric. Constructed the entire project on my serger and cover stitch machine. Instructions and fit are excellent as always with Sinclair designs.
